George Moles was born in August 1865 at Willian in Hertfordshire, son of a straw plaiter named Emma Moles, formerly Rook, and her husband George Moles, a shepherd. George was not baptised until 23rd December 1865 - by which time he was presumably dying, for he was both baptised and buried on that day. He was only four months old.
