George Heale (1643-49?-1697 Lancaster Co VA) & Ellen Rogers (?-ca. 1710)
They were married in 1682. George was a justice of Lancaster Court 1684, and he served in House of Burgesses 1695, 1697. Ellen she gave 100 acres at Cherry Point. To William she gave three slaves, the furniture in her chamber and her stock of cattle and hogs, as well as her brandy still. Just to say that William Ball IV of Lancaster Co., Va married Hannah Heale. She was the daughter of George Heale (Hale) son of Nicholas Heale b. 1654 York Co. Va., d.1698 Lancaster Co...owned vast lands in both counties. George Heale married Ellen Chinn. Hannah Heale and William Ball had Sarah. Hannah's brother was Captain George Heale who married Catherine Chinn who had Nicholas and William Heale, William married Priscilla Downman and had George Heale b 1728-d.1806.George married Sarah Smith and his sister, Priscilla married General Lafayette's good friend General Marquis Calmes.

Nicholas Heale born 1628 the first of the American Heales was very close to William Ball, William Ball IV's gr. or gr. grandfather.

Montaque Island and Middlesex Co were adjacent to Lancaster Co., so it is most probable that Mary Montague Bennet Ball did exist. My Uncle did a great deal of work with the Montague and Ball lines etc. and always told me that George Washington's grandmother was a Montague. Hope that this is helpful.

[This is likely him as his daughter Hannah was married to William Ball's son, also named William Ball. However, it could also be George Haile's son, also named George Haile. If it is this George Haile, it provides evidence that he was still alive in 1694.]
