George went to New College, Oxford, was ordained, became curate at Holy Trinity, Oxford, and in 1879 chaplain at Littlemore Asylum, nr Oxford; there followed livings at Brockley and Coombe St. Nicholas, Somerset, and Greenhow Hill, Yorkshire; he married the daughter of Dr. Willmott, the only doctor in Weston s.M. ("Iron Elwells"). Henry Willmott, brother of Annie, went to NZ with Edward Simeon Elwell ("Iron Elwells"). George married Annie Georgiana WILMOTT 4th qtr 1874 at Axbridge (bmd). Annie Georgiana Willmott was chr 24dec1840 at Chester, daughter of Alfred Willmott and Fanny (IGI). An Alfred Willmott married Frances Gillman 1831 at Derby (IGI). In 1851 Alfred Wilmot (1813 Dorset, MD, Edinburgh, in general practice), wife Frances (1816 London), daughter Anna G. (1841 Cheshire) were at Chester (census).
