He, son of Jonathan, esq. of St Pancras, was admitted to Jesus College 1852, BA 1856, MA 1859 (Cambridge alumni site). The mother in law of Francis, Eliza Pullen, had a sister, Frances, who was mother in law of George Henry Elwell, brother of Francis.
