In 1841 census, he is a lead ore smelter, age 45, living in Couse Hole, Allendale, Northumberland, with wife Liddy (40), son William (11), and Elizabeth (8), as well as Ann Gibson (13) (younger sister of Liddy?).

In 1851 census, he is living in Tedham, Allendale, Northumberland, with son William (20) and daughter Elizabeth (18).

He does not appear to be in 1861 or 1871 census, so he has likely died before 1861.

Also reviewed FHL film# 1564755 item #2, transcript of Whitley Chapel general register 1764-1851, with index, which had same baptism date and info, plus added the residence as "Peacock House" (about 1.5 miles south of the church).

From FHL film# 1068646 item #10: "Baptised September 4th 1791 George son of Thomas Chatt, Peacock House."
The indication of the residence as Peacock House provides linkage to his parents and maternal grandparents, who also resided at Peacock House (about 1.5 miles due south of St. Helen's church in Whitley).
