Hi, my name is Tom Chatt, and I've had an interest in genealogy as long as I can remember, though it's only in recent years that it's turned into an obsession a more serious pursuit. Professionally, I'm a software technologist, living in Los Angeles. I've been contributing to genealogy.wikia.com since June 2006 (my home page there), and just recently discovered WeRelate. It seems very attractive, as it seems to offer the combination of structured data plus free-form wiki that I've been wanting. (GenWiki is frustrating as there is no structured data, and thus information must be entered redundantly on many pages, which is error-prone.) --Dec 2006
