RMC's note: newspaper clipping; "1958" hand-written on column; no newspaper name: TO OBSERVE GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY______ The Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Faulkner will be celebrated on Sunday, October 19, at the family home at 62 Raymond Ave. in Shelby. Open house will be observed from 2-5 p.m. Fred Faulkner and Edith Bender were united in marriage fifty years ago, on October 14, 1908 at Findlay in the parsonage of the Church of God by the pastor, Rev. MacSee. Rev. MacSee was affiliated with Findlay College at the time. The couple has one child, a daughter, Mrs. Harlo Lucas of Columbus, who will be present for the celebration along with Mr. Lucas and their two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Barnhart and Sandra Kay Lucas, also of Columbus. Mrs. Faulkner is the oldest in a family of ten children, seven of whom are still living, including Anna, a patient in Shelby Memorial Hospital, and Jack Bender of Tiro, Mrs. Olive Cleland, Shelby, Mrs. Ernest Blackford, Perrysville, and Mrs. Arthur Marquart of Bucyrus. Mr. Faulkner is the youngest of nine children, three sisters still living. Mr. and Mrs. Faulkner are members of the Evangelical United Brethren Church, in Findlay, having lived at Findlay for a number of years. Mr. Faulkner retired from the strightening room of the Ohio Seemless Tube in 1954 after a service of fifteen years. He and his wife are making plans to spend this winter in Tampa, Fla., where they have enjoyed the past four winters. Image Gallery
