Copy of original: John W. Faulkner & Fred. F. Faulkner, being duly sworn, says that William H. Faulkner a resident of the Township of Auburn is said County [Crawford County, Ohio], died on about the 14 day of April A.D., 1912 and that there is not to the knowledge of this affiant, any last will and testament of said decedent; that the said William H. Faulkner died, leaving no widow and the following persons his only heirs at law: John W. Faulkner, son, Shelby, Ohio, RD #1; Ida Chew, daughter, Reno, Ark.; Geo C Faulkner, son, Findlay, Ohio; Etta Crum, daughter, Shelby, Ohio RD #3; Julia C. Perkins, daughter, Findlay, Ohio; Martha A. Faulkner, daughter, Findlay, Ohio; Nellie E. Beard [Baird], daughter, Plymouth, Ohio, RD; Fred F. Faulkner, son, Shelby, Ohio, RD #4. That none of the above named are children of said decedent under 15 years age at the time of his decease. The undersigned asks to be appointed Administrators of the Estate of said decedent and on their oaths aforesaid, says the amount of peronal property will be about $12,000, And of Real Estates about $25,000, Total $37,000; "We are not indebted to said Estate." And offer a bond in the sum of $20,000, with Julia C. Perkins, Geo. C. Faulkner, Nellie E. Baird, Etta H. Crum, Ida Jane Chew and Martha A. Faulkner as sureties theron, and suggest [unreadable initials] Faulkner, [unreadable] Gutshall and Harry Lee as appraisers. Signed J. W. Faulkner, Shelby, RFD #1 and Fred F. Faulkner, Shelby RFD #4, Sworn to and subscribed before me this 23 day of April A.D., 1912, Charles F. Schaber, Probate Judge.
