- Last Will and Testament.
I, Franklin P. Schauweker, at this time a resident of Jefferson Township, Noble County, Indiana, do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking any and all former wills by me heretofore made.
Item 1. I hereby direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid.
Item 2. I hereby give and bequeath to my daughter, Retha May Mahnesmith, the sum of One Thousand Dollars; also, all of my household furniture, goods and effects.
Item 3. All the residue of my estate, both real and personal, and of which I may die seized, and wheresoever found, I hereby bequeath and devise to my children, John W. Schauweker, Leo Charles Schauweker, Retha May Mahnesmith, Alice Forker and Walter Schauweker, the same to be theirs absolutely, share and share alike; provided always, that any advancement which may be made by me or has been made by me during my lifetime, or any notes on which I may be securety for any of my said children, shall be considered and equalized in the division in this item to my said children.

Be it remembered, that on the 14th day of July, 1933, George L. Foote, one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of Franklin P. Schauweker late of said county, deceased, personally appeared before the Clerk of the Noble Circuit Court of Noble County, in the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon his oath, declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That on the 17th day of September, 1929, he saw the said Franklin P. Schauweker sign his name to said instrument in writing as and for his last Will and Testament; and that this deponent at the same time, heard the said Franklin P. Schauweker declare the said instrument in writing to be his last Will and Testament; and that the said instrument in writing was, at the same time, at the request of the said Franklin P. Schauweker and with his consent attested and subscribed by the said George L. Foote and Abel A. Barnum in the presence of said Testator, and in the presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Franklin P. Schauweker was, at the time of signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says that said Franklin P. Schauweker died testate in Noble County, Indiana, and leaving an estate therein.
Sworn to and subscribed by the said George L. Foote before me, Clerk of said Court, at Albion, The 14th day of July, 1933. In attestation whereof, I hereunto subscribe my name and affix the seal of said Court.

Schauweker has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the testimony of George L. Foote one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will and of the testimony of the said George L. Foote in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 9 at pages 547 & 548 of the Record of Wills of said County.
In Attestation Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal of said Court at Albion this 14th day of July, 1933.

Schauweker, Franklin Pierce, son of John and Susan (Deter) Schauweker, was born on February 5, 1855 in Albion, Noble County, and died from the home near Albion July 11, 1933, aged 78 years, five months and six days. On November 2, 1878, he married Mary Earle of Albion. They had five children, all of whom survive the parents. His wife died October 18, 1917. His entire life was spent in Noble County and he was a farmer by occupation. Survivors include three sons, John of Jefferson Twp, Charles Leo of Rosemead, Cal., and Walter of Avilla; two daughters, Mrs. Frank Mahnesmith of the old home, and Mrs. Bryan Forker of Ft. Wayne; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Earle of Albion. The funeral was held at the home in Jefferson Twp. Burial at Albion. Amended: added middle name, mother's maiden name.
