Fomer Monona Doctor Died in Chicago; Funeral Held at Point Monday

MONONA: Funeral services for Dr. Frank E. Tinker, who died Saturday in Chicago where he lived, where held at nine o'clock Monday morning in St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point. The Rev. Father E. Boyle read the mass and officiated in the Strawberry Point cemetery where burial was made. Six of his nephews were casket bearers: Paul Olinger, Leon Olinger, Dan Tinker, Lloyd Tinker, Daniel Tinker, and Barney Whittle.

Surviving are his aged mother, Mrs. Mary Tinker, one brother, John N. Tinker of Strawberry Point, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Whittle of Monona, Mrs. Mary Olinger of Chamberlain, South Dakota, and Mrs. Rose Olinger of Dubuque.

Dr. Tinker was born and reared at Strawberry Point, where he received his early education, later taking a course in dentistry and was living in Chicago at the time of his death. He visited his mother, Mrs. Mary Tinker, and his sister, Mrs. Anna Whittle, at Monona every year and was quite well known in Monona.
