- ↑ newspaper clipping, "The Retreat of Sepetowski", describes an incident in which Frank SEPETOWSKI pointed a revolver at his mother-in-law, Mrs Mary JEZENSKI, and threatened to kill her when she opened the door at her home, 1414 N 20th St. She "grabbed the weapon, wheeled it around, business end t'other way, and made a counter-threat." SEPETOWSKI "marched down the hill in precipitate flight". Frank was later "arrested at his home, 2648 Laclede Av, where he conducts a saloon". [from news clip, source/date unknown.]
- ↑ Another suit, number and pleadings not known, Frank SEPETOWSKI v St Louis Transit Co, claiming damages resulting from a passenger ride on a transit car. Frank earlier won a judgement of $1500, but it was reversed on appeal, and remanded to Circuit Court. [from a newspaper article, "Alimony Depends on Damage Suit", source & date unknown. Text says Mary "obtained a divorce" on Tuesday afternoon, and this civil suit hearing was on Wednesday, apparently 24 Feb 1904.]
- ↑ On 1 Oct 1903, Frank SEPITOWSKI shot his wife, Mary; fired three shots at neighbors, and then shot himself in the head. Mary required surgery to remove three bullets from her chest and arm. Frank's wound was "not serious". Four families lived in the flat at 1414 N 20th St. The "angry Poles" threatened to "lynch the coward" and were held at bay by police guns while Frank was hauled away by ambulance. [St Louis Times(?) and Post-Dispatch newspapers, 2 Oct 1903]
- ↑ A later newspaper article [death, 1913] says Frank spent "two years in the penitentiary" for shooting his wife, Mary.
