Frank King Conklin, son of Samuel and Margaret (King) Conklin was born on 17 October 1856 in Franklin, Ohio. He grew up in Delphos (Van Wert County), Ohio. In the fall of 1878 he married Cora M. McKenna. They moved west and settled in Missouri where they lived for about four years. The family then moved to Partridge (Reno County), Kansas where they established a farm about a mile north of town. Frank’s descendants continue to live in the Partridge area in the mid-1990’s. Cora was born in 1855 and died on 12 December 1932. Frank died on 26 October 1934. Both Frank and Cora are buried in the Partridge Cemetery in Reno, Kansas.
