Harry P. Conkling, son of Frank and Cora Conklin was born on 13 May 1880 in Raymore, Missouri. As a very young child his family moved to Partridge (Reno County), Kansas where he spent most of his life. Harry was a farmer. He married Kathryn Lynch on 7 December 1913. Kathryn died on 16 October 1954 and Harry died on 19 June 1971. His obituary names two sons and says that he had four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is buried in the Partridge Cemetery in Reno, Kansas.
