Location

The Briars ("A"" on the above map) is a populated place in the northern end of the Shenandoah River Valley, in what is not Clarke County Virginia. A few miles to the northeast lies the town of "Berryville", which presumably has some connection to the family of Frances husband, Thomas Berry.
