Obituary[5] 11 Nov 2011 FARMINGTON - Florice Elizabeth Sanders, 90, died on Nov. 9, 2011, at the Sandy River Center for Health in Farmington. She was born April 12, 1921, in Phillips, the daughter of Carlton and Manette Harnden Haggan. She was educated in the schools of Phillips and graduated from Phillips High School in 1939. She married Robert C. Sanders on April 13, 1940, in Strong; he died in September 1999.
She and her husband owned and operated Bob's Place in Avon and Bob's Electric and Plumbing in Phillips.
She is survived by her son, Lowell (Nick) Sanders, of Phillips; her daughter, Joan Thompson, of Kingfield; her brother, Harold Haggan, of Strong; her sister, June Durrell, of Strong; her aunt, Zelda Harnden, of Strong; three grandsons, Todd Thompson and wife Mary Jo of New Sharon, Toby Thompson and wife Kelly of Manchester, and Tim Thompson and wife Lisa of Farmington; and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Odlin Thompson; her sister, Anita Storer; and two brothers, Howard and Ronald Haggan.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Mile Square Cemetery in Avon.
