FARMINGTON -- Carlton Haggan, 97, of Phillips, died Tuesday at the Edgewood Nursing Home.
He was born March 2, 1895 in Portland, son of Karl and Anna Haggan. He was educated in Portland schools. He married Manette L. Harnden on Feb. 28, 1914 in Phillips; she died Dec. 24, 1972. He was self-employed as a farmer and lumberman all of his life. He was a member of the IOOF Odd Fellows of Phillips. He had made his home in Phillips all of his life.
He is survived by a son, Harold of Strong; two daughters, June Durrell of Strong and Florice Sanders of Phillips; 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by four children, Myrtle Haggan, Anita Storer, Ronald and Howard Haggan. |
