Ezra owned a farm. Ezra was excommunicated in 1831.Ezra was a Methodist Preacher before joining the Church. Ezra was to take journey, preaching all the way. The Lord's anger toward Ezra. Ezra wrote 9 letters against the Church to the "Ohio Star"which were inserted in the first anti-mormon book. (Mormonism Unveiled by E. D. Howe). Ezra is considered the first apostate to write against the Church. Ezra converted at miraculous healing.Ezra served a mission to Missouri. Ezra Booth, called by revelation (Doc. & Cov. Sec. 52) on a special mission to Missouri, preached and traveled together with Isaac Morley in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. Soon after his return to Ohio he apostasized from the Church.
