Everett Joseph Crumrine of Welch died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Chetopa Manor of Chetopa, Kan. He was 87.
Crumrine was born June 17, 1917, in Centralia to Henry H. and Edith Clara (Jones) Crumrine. He spent most of his life in the Welch area.
He was a World War II veteran of the Navy, where he served as a fireman first class. He received service medals for the American Area, Victory World War II and the Asiatic Pacific Area.
He worked for McDonald Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis, Mo., from 1956 to 1960; as an aid in the security ward of Northeastern Oklahoma State Hospital in Vinita from 1965 to 1970; as a bus driver for Welch Public Schools from 1970 to 1972, and as a farmer until he retired.
He married Virginia E. Cox on Nov. 3, 1939, in Nowata. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, Thomas Crumrine of Chetopa; one daughter, Linda L. Crumrine of Miami; one brother, Lloyd Dallas Crumrine of Bartlesville; three sisters, Iva Marie Moore of South Coffeyville and Bertha Mae Ruark and Erma Lee Verner, both of Bartlesville; one granddaughter, Trudi Jo Vail; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Alexander Vail and Aaliyan Vail, and two stepgrandchildren, Jennifer and Amanda Carrell.
