Iva Marie Moore, 92-year-old South Coffeyville resident, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Shadow Lake Estates in Bartlesville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, September 15, 2008 in the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Bath officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt Washington Cemetery in Lenapah.
Iva Marie Moore was born December 30, 1915 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Henry Crumrine and Clara Edith Jones-Crumrine. When she was 2 weeks old the family moved by covered wagon in the middle of January to the Centralia area. On January 3, 1935, she married Frank Moore in Coffeyville. Later, in 1940 the two moved to the ranch in South Coffeyville.
Mrs. Moore loved cooking, quilting, and gardening. She cooked several meals for Mr. Halsell and for the Halsell Ranch when they had some of their big round-ups. She was also a member of the Chapel Springs Home Demonstration Club in the Wimer Community during some of her younger years. Mrs. Moore was a devout member of the Pleasant View Church of God in South Coffeyville. She had many things that kept her busy, but she always kept family #1.
Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Lorene and her husband Howard Pollet of Fritch, Texas and Sue and her husband Don Myers of Claremore; by two sisters, Bertha Ruark of Bartlesville and Erma Verner of Bartlesville; by 3 grandchildren, Beverly and her husband Andy Beekmann of Borger, Texas, Brent and his wife Misty Pollet of Oaks, Oklahoma, Blane and his wife Heather Pollet of South Coffeyville; by 5 great-grandchildren; and by 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; by one son, Bobby Joe Moore; by four brothers, Orville Crumrine, Robert Crumrine, Lloyd Crumrine, Everett Crumrine; and by a sister, Dolly Maxine.
