    Obituary for Bertha Mae Ruark
    Mrs. Bertha Mae Ruark, 96, of Bartlesville, died at 11:23 A.M. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at her home in Bartlesville.
    Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Welch Cemetery at Welch, Oklahoma with Rev. Tom Cox officiating.
    Mrs. Ruark was born in Craig County, Oklahoma on March 21, 1921 the daughter of Henry H. and Edith (Jones) Crumrine. She grew up in Craig County and then attended business college in Miami. She was married to Walter Franklin Ruark in New Jersey in 1945. Following Mr. Ruark’s military service they made their home in Bartlesville, Chicago and again in Bartlesville until being transferred to Denver, Colorado in 1956 by his employer, Phillips Petroleum Company. Mrs. Ruark was employed as an accounts payable accountant until her retirement in 1987. Mr. and Mrs. Ruark moved to Tucson, Arizona to make their retirement home and Mr. Ruark preceded her in death in 1992. She was then married to Gene Eder in 1997 and they enjoyed traveling together and he preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Ruark then moved to Bartlesville to make her home. She had attended the New Harmony Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church in Bartlesville. She was a strong loving Christian woman, daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend.
    Survivors include two sons, Randall F. Ruark of Aurora, Colorado and Robert S. Ruark of Lynden, Washington, one sister, Erma Verner of Dewey, Oklahoma, six grandchildren, Brice Lind, Shawn Lind, Amber Bridgeman, Melody Ruark, Crystal Velasquez and Holly Ruark, and several great grandchildren. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, four brothers and her daughter Mitsy Stillwell.
