    Linda Lou Crumrine, 81, of Miami, OK, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 16th, 2023, at her niece’s home in rural Altamont, KS.
    She was born in Coffeyville, KS on February the 22nd, 1942 to Everett and Virginia (Cox) Crumrine. Her family moved from Coffeyville to Pilot Rock, OR and later moved to Bridgeton, MO where she graduated high school.
    Linda worked for the U.S. Army Reserves from 1962-1997. She then moved to Miami, OK. She enjoyed studying her bible, sewing, travelling, and photography. Her most passionate endeavor was volunteering for Prison Fellowship. She continued contact with several inmates through email over the years. After moving to Miami, she would travel to the State Prison in Potosi, MO to minister to inmates there. She attended Community Bible Church in Chetopa for a time, and upon moving to Miami, OK, she attended Word of Faith Disciples Church.
    She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Thomas Crumrine.
    She is survived by a niece, Trudi Vail and husband Randy of Oswego, KS; a great niece, Aaliyah Groover and husband Randy of Altamont, KS, and their daughters, Melanie, Emilie, and Sparrow; two great nephews, Gavin Vail of Edna, KS, and Wyatt Vail, of Oswego, KS; a sister in law, Toni Crumrine of Chetopa; two step-nieces, Jennifer Hine and husband Jacob of Oswego, and Amanda Carrell of Leavenworth, KS; and a host of cousins.
