This source apparently indicates that she married Count Milo first and then Count Herbert. Settipani indicates the reverse - Settipani's evidence is briefly presented in Medieval Lands (Cawley).

'The Ascendancy of Ermengarde of Tonnerre: Part II ...

The family of Ermengardis (no 5 [from a previous post: where she is identified as "Ermengardis (Ermengarde), widow of Herbert IV of Vermandois" and wife of "Milo (Milon) IV, count of Tonnerre"]), widow of Herbert, not the reverse, is not « Bar-sur-Seine » ([a] misunderstanding [of a] hypothesis of E. Petit : such a dynasty does not exist at this time). She was, I think, the daughter of Alberic II of Macon and his second wife.'

  5. Birth year estimated assuming that she was the wife of both Herbert Count of Vermandois and Milo Count of Tonnerre and mother of their children (an unproven theory), and also that she was the daughter of Alberic Count of Macon and his wife Ermentrude.
