Date of birth is in father's bible--see Henry Carlton Lindsey, THE MARK LINDSEY HERITAGE (Brownwood, TX; 1983), p. 66. The bible also notes that he d. in July 1955.

MARK LINDSEY HERITAGE says that EL's first two wives, Bertie and Viola Johnson Lindsey, died young, and by the third wife, Mary Beth, EL had two children, names unknown. EL was an oil field worker who worked at Wink, Tx, and Iowa, LA, dying young, according to H.C. Lindsey.
