FREMONT NEWS MESSENGER Monday March 29, 1948 FALL LEADS TO WOMENS DEATH Mrs. Ella Josephine Young, 856, of Green Creek township,. widow of August Young, died Sunday evening in Memorial hospital of a fall at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Leroy Swartz, of South Street. She suffered a broken hip. Burial in Dana Gren Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Young was born December 24, 1862, in Green Creek township, a daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Bakers., She received her education in the township school and Fremont High School and spent the earlier part of her life teaching. On September 30, 1886, she was united in marriage with August Young. Surviving are four daughters and three sons, Mrs. Hazel L. Strohl, Mrs. Leroy Swartz, Mrs. Bernard Swartz all of Fremont; Mrs. Don L. Orbits, of Pasadena, Cal.; Henry Young of Fremont, and Ernest of Toledo. One son Herbert, died in January 1, 1946. She is also survived by one sister Mrs. Ada Ferguson of Toledo; four brothers, George Bakers, of Toledo; Arthur of Walla Wash; Ralph of Green Creek township; and Chester of Fremont. A grandson Eugene Swartz was killed in World War II in Europe. |
