"Certificate of Baptism from Our Lady of Sorrows gives dob as May 1, 1883 and Baptism on May 13, 1883. Witnesses were Stephen and Elizabeth Gresser.

"Married at the Church of St. Michael, Bklyn, NY, on June 4, 1917, per Certificate of Marriage. Witnesses were August Menges and Elisabeth Ruhl. Accompanying letter from St. Michael's states that Elisabeth was baptized on May 13, 1883 at Our Lady of Sorrows in Manhattan; her parents were Frank and Anna Gresser.

"She was known as "Big Lizzie." Had surgery and never pulled through. Husband remarried and Josephine's stepmother would not allow her to have any contact with the Schretzmann's - Harriet Stokes "
