Elizabeth Miles was born in late December 1805 and baptised when she was six weeks old, on 9th February 1806, at the Independent Chapel at Broadway In in Worcestershire. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Miles, formerly Rastall, and her husband, Stephen Miles, a slater and plasterer.

Elizabeth has yet to be traced after her baptism.

   This is to certify that Elizabeth Miles the Daughter of Stephen Miles slatter and Elizabeth his wife in the Parish aforesaid [Broadway] was baptized Feb 9th 1806 who was then about six weeks old.

   If Elizabeth was six weeks old on 9th February 1806, she was born between 23rd and 29th December 1805.

   There is a corresponding entry in the records of Moreton in the Marsh Independent Chapel:
   This is to certify that Elizabeth Miles the Daughter of Stephen Miles slatter & plasterer & of Elizabeth his wife, in the Parish of Broadway in the County of Worcester was baptized Feb[ruar]y 9th 1806 - who was then about six weeks old - By the Revd. J. Mann
