I have Eliza in 1860 census as 8, 1870 census as 16, 1880 census as 24, Obit in Waterloo Courier 7/21/1938. Age 79 died 7/18/1938. Daughter of John McGovern born in Cleveland Ohio, 8/15, 1858.

She was in Chicago for 25 years as a servant for a family on Michigan Avenue. She is shown in the 1880 and 1900 census with this family. Eliza must have been in Portland when the census was taken and then moved to Chicago and appears on that 1880 census also.

The 1910, 1920, and 1930 census all show Eliza at home on the original John McGovern farm.

Eliza came home to the McGovern farm before 1905. . Father Hess conducted burial services and she was buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterloo, WI.
