I have a letter from Essex County NJ - no marriage certificate. Elizabeth is in the 1860 census as 31, the 1870 census as 38, the 1880 census as 60 and the 1900 census as 67. The cemetery stone in Waterloo shows her name as Bessie. I have her husband John's obit that says they were married in New Jersey nee Elizabeth McCaffrey. They came to WI in the early 60's. Elizabeth's obit - Waterloo Democrat 10/4/07 says DOD 9/28/07 at 78 years. She was born in Ireland and was married to John in Bellville, NJ. Buried in St. Joseph's cemetery in Waterloo. Father Hess was again the priest - Fr. Hess was mentioned in every burial of the McGoverns.
