'Tunis Hood married about 1744 in Augusta (now Rockingham) County, Virginia, Elizabeth Harrison, who is reasonably well identified as a daughter of John and Phoebe Harrison, pioneer Colonial settlers of that section.'
'On July 27, 1744 [Rev. John Craig] baptised Elizabeth Herison (Harrison) “an adult person,” (Maxwell History and Genealogy p. 584) ... This Elizabeth Herison (Harrison) is believed to have been the wife of Tunis Wood.'
