Yarling, Native or Shelby County, Was Eighty-Five Years Old. LEAVES SEVEN CHILDREN Mrs. Eliza J. Yarling, age eighty-five, widow of John W. Yarling, died Saturday night at eight o'clock, at her home, No. 155 West Broadway. Her death was caused by senility. Funeral services were conducted at the home this afternoon, Dr. L. T. Freeland, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, of which Mrs. Yarling was a member, officiating. Burial was made in Forest Hill cemetery, Morris H. Sleeth in charge. Mrs. Yarling was a native of Shelby county. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Meiks, and was born March 12, 1842. She was married to Mr. Yarling February 1, 1866. Mr. Yarling died in 1921. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Devening, of Morristown, Mrs. Carrie Moberly and Mrs. Arthur Williams, of this county; four sons, Jacob O. Yarling, John L. Yarling and Thomas Yarling, all of Addison township and William H. Yarling, of Marion township; and a brother, Edward Meiks, of Indianapolis.
