- nephew of John Coming who left all of his property in the Province of Carolina to his wife Affra (Harleston) Coming, who in turn left the estate to be divided between her nephew John Harleston and her husband's nephew Elias Ball
- 1698 - (age 22) comes to the Carolina Colony to claim his inheritance which includes half of the rice plantation known as Comingtee (Coming's T)
