Edward Waddington of Grindleton, nr Clitheroe, and of Hipperholme, Halifax, md Ellen Foule of Grindleton. Son and heir of Edward Waddington 1490 of Northowram and Hipperholme. Joined with his father in conveyance with Richard and Johanna Wadyngton in 1526. In 1529 his father Edward Wadyngton being dead he paid Heriot.

Wakefield Manor Rolls, 1529. - - - Edward son of Edward Waddyngton of Hipperholme give heriot after the death of Edward his father.

He was dead in 1545. He married Ellen Foule of Grindleton 1516. Had issue 3 sons- - - Thomas W., md. 1540. Roger W., md 1545, and Edward W., md. 1556. Her will proved 1569. Bequest of L20 to her sons. She md. (2) 1545 Thomas Hemingway of Shipden in the township of Southowram, nr. Halifax. Descended from Richard de Wadyngton 1388 of Coley, Halifax.
