According to an Alcona County Review obituary Catherine O'Neal married Edward LaChapelle in 1851 at the age of 16 years.

After Edward's death in 1875, Catherine married Alonzo Micho in 1876. An August 30, 1894 Alcona County Review article by Micho absolves him of any debts she might incur. She died at the home of her daughter Sarah (wife of Isaac Rose) December 11, 1894. She was the sister of Margaret and Matthew O'Neil.
