"E.J. Kuhnley, Carrolltown R.D. Passes Away - Edward J. Kuhnley, 77, Carrolltown R.D., was dead on arrival Jan. 24 at Miners Hospital, Spangler. He was born Aug. 18, 1902, in Patton, a son of the late John J. and Edith (Tucker) Kuhnley. He was preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Ralph, and sisters, Mrs. Velma Noonan and Mrs. Florence Lacue. He is survived by his widow, the former Velma Fox, and these children: Dr. Camilla Bauer, Harlan, Ky.; Ralph, Norfolk, Va.; and Mrs. Richard (Mellie) Kelly, Johnstown; also 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was brother of Mrs. Margaret Ahlstrom, Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Arlene Blick, Patton. He was a retired plumber. Friends were received at Stevens Funeral Home, Inc., Carrolltown, where wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Carrolltown. Interment was in the church cemetery.
