Tuesday services are set for Dorla T. Kilpatrick...
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorla T. Kilpatrick, 83, 283 Bay Shore Drive, Valparaiso, Fla., formerly of Oak Knoll Avenue, N.E., who died Thursday, will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at McFarland and Son Funeral Home, where friends may call an hour before the service.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Her first husband, Albertis C. Taylor, former president of Taylor-Winfield Corp., died in 1936. In 1945, she married Bishop Kilpatrick, former state representative and senator, who died in 1982.
Mrs. Kilpatrick was born here Sept. 7, 1900, the daughter of Orton and Carrie Smith Trask.
A Florida resident for a year, she was a member of Central Christian Church for over 50 years, a member of Daughters of [the] American Revolution and Child Conservation League.
Survivors include two sons, Norval P. Taylor of Valparaiso, Richard C. Taylor of Fairborn, Ohio; two sisters, Twyla Richards of Warren, Flora Lonsway of Willoughby; and three grandchildren.
