From the June 13, 1971, edition of the Waterloo (IA) Sunday Courier Donald Tinker STRAWBERRY POINT -- Services for Donald Tinker, 61, who died Thursday at the Mercy Hospital in Waverly, will be at 2 pm today at the Feeney Funeral Home; burial in the Strawberry Point Cemetery; survivors include two sons, Merwin and John, both of Des Moines; three daughters, Miss Judy Tinker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Miss Mary Tinker of Des Moines and Mrs. Robert Nightengale of Manchester; two brothers, Dr. Delos Tinker of Postville and Darwin Tinker of Macomb, Ill.; and nine grandchildren. From the June 16, 1971, edition of the Clayton County Register (Elkader, Ia.) Donald Tinker STRAWBERRY POINT -- Services were held Sunday, June 13, for Donald Wayland Tinker, 61, Strawberry Point, at the Feeney Funeral Home, with the Rev. Francis Shreve officiating. Burial was in the Strawberry Point Cemetery. Tinker died Thursday, June 10, at Mercy Hospital, Waverly. Born April 17, 1910, at Strawberry Point, he was the son of John and Addie Carpenter. Survivors include his two sons, Merwyn and John, both of Des Moines, three daughters, Miss Judy Tinker of Salt Lake City, Utah, Miss Mary Tinker of Des Moines, and Mrs. Robert (Kathy) Nightengale, Manchester; two brothers, Dr. Delos Tinker, Postville, Darwin Tinker, Macomb, Ill.; and nine grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents. |
