Doede Jans Rollingswier

He was a carpenter, just like his father, and many of the family.
He had a workshop on de Langebourren nr 17 in Stiens, and is also known to have bought an old warehouse for his work as a carpenter.

He has received the job of restoring the tower of the local church, this is taking a few years, the warehouse is next to the church making it an ideal place for that.

In 1958 wordt Doede Rollingswier, timmerman en aannemer, wonende op Langebuorren 17, voor fl. 4000 eigenaar. Daarmee krijgt het pakhuis de oude negentiende-eeuwse functie min of meer terug. Rollingswier is in die periode een aantal jaren bezig met de restauratie van de kerktoren. Het pakhûs gebruikt hij als opslagruimte.

Rollingswier verkoopt het perceel in 1979 aan Yde Zijlstra, ‘melktapper’. Hij mocht een deel van het pand al in 1973 tijdelijk gebruiken van de heer Hielke Staal, die het pand huurde.
