David C. Irwin RAVENA David C. Irwin passed away Friday, February 29, 2008 peacefully at home. David was born and lived all his life on Starr Road in Ravena. He retired in 1987 after 43 years of service with Callanan's in South Bethlehem. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth R. Carhart Irwin of Ravena; children, Russell (Louise) Irwin and Tammy (Keith) Krzykowski; grandchildren, Jeremy and Jeffery Irwin, Christina (Joel) Bathrick, Amanda (Mark) Demitraszek, Davin Krzykowski and DeEtte (Cliff) Hirsch; great-grandchildren, Zarah and Zachary Bathrick, Kaylie and Mark Demitraszek, Amber Hirsch, David Kusisto and Jayden Irwin; and brothers, Theodore and Alfred Irwin, both of Ravena. David was predeceased by his parents, David and Mamie Irwin; son, David R, Irwin; brothers, Bill, Delos and Legrand Irwin, sisters, Nellie Charma, Jessie Barger, Hazel Meyers, Anna Conrad and Phebe Whitbeck. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 4 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the spring. Contributions in memory of David may be made to the Ravena Rescue Squad, PO Box 144, Ravena, NY 12143.
