Obituary from Albany Times-Union, April 3, 1997 ANNA C. CONRAD SOUTH BETHLEHEM -- Anna C. Irwin Conrad died Wednesday, April 2, 1997 at her residence. She was 74. Anna was born in Acquetuck and had lived in South Bethlehem most of her life. She had worked as an egg candler at the former Star Poultry Farm in South Bethlehem for many years. Anna was a charter member of the Bethlehem Volunteer Ambulance Service, member and former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Selkirk #3 Fire Dept., and a member of the South Bethlehem Methodist Church. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Conrad, Sr. Survivors include two sons, Charles H. Conrad, Jr. of Slingerlands, Kenneth J. Conrad of Coeymans Hollow; a daughter, Beverly Lee of Earlton; three brothers, Theodore, David and Alfred Irwin, all of Ravena; a sister, Nellie Charma of Yorkville, NY; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of Stanley Grinnell. She was predeceased by three brothers, William, Legrand and Delos Irwin and three sisters, Hazel Myers, Phebe Whitbeck and Pearl Barger. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon on Friday, April 4, 1997 at the Babcock Funeral Home, 19 Pulver Ave., Ravena. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 10:00.
