1. DANIEL1 SMALL (FRANCISA, EDWARDB) was born 1654 in Provincetown, MA, and died 1729 in Truro, Barnstable Co., MA. He married ABIGAIL SNOW Abt. 1694 in Marriage not proved, daughter of JOHN SNOW and MARY SMALLEY. She was born October 14, 1673 in Eastham, MA.

Mayflower descent from Stephen Hopkins, is not proven. There is no record of the marriage of Abigail Snow and Daniel (3) Small. This is discussed in Mayflower Families through Five Generations, Vol. 6, Stephen Hopkins Family , p. 21. Similarly, although John (5) Small Jr. is a documented descendant of Mayflower passenger Richard Warren, there is no official documentation of his paternity of any of the seven children he allegedly had with his two wives, Sarah Hopkins and Priscilla Strout, making it impossible to prove that Joseph (6), Elisha (6), Daniel (6), etc., were also Mayflower descendants.

   Daniel³ Small, s/o Francis² and Elizabeth, "appears to have been the youngest son", born Main between 1667 and 1674, probably relocated to Cape Cod with his parents about 1700. Living in Truro by 1710. On 23 Feb 1729[/30?] gave all his lands to his sons by deed. "The date of Daniel Small's date is unknown; and the name of his wife does not appear in any existing record."
