Information on Daniel Cathey

Daniel H. Cathey was born ca 1774/84 in Burke (now McDowell) Co, NC. I don't know who he might have been named for, unless perhaps after Daniel Holeman, if his mother Rebecca Holeman is the same one in Shenandoah County, Virginia, daughter of Daniel Holeman. He is a proven child of William Cathey as named in the 1826 deed listing the heirs of William Cathey selling land. The same deed named Daniel's heirs as he was dead by then. Daniel married Jemima Oliver before ca 1804 in Buncombe (now Haywood) Co, NC.
