He married 2nd around 1725 to Marie BABIN; 3rd at St. Charles des Mines on 15 May 1741 to Jeanne BELLEMERE, widow of Mathieu BRASSEUR. Married to Catherine THIBODEAU, her name was Marie THIBODEAU, according to registers. Reference: Clarence d'ENTREMONT. [BEWARE: Claude's brother Antoine is also married to a Marie THIBODEAU, this one's sister. Confusion?] !CENSUS: 1678, Port Royal, Acadia. The 10 unnamed children were ages 17 (boy, b. 1661; probably Antoine), 15 (girl, b. 1663; probably Madeleine), 14 (boy, b. 1664; probably Claude), 13 (girl, b. 1665; probably Cecile), 11 (girl, b. 1667; could be either Jean or René with misidentified gender), 5 (boy, b. 1673; possibly Marguerite with misidentified gender), 3 (girl, b. 1675; possibly Germain with misidentified gender), 2 (boy, b. 1676; possibly Jeanne with misidentified gender), and 1 (girl, b. 1677; possibly an infant Abraham with misidentified gender).
