Christine J. Walbert 81, of Bath, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010, in the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus. She was the wife of the late Earl H.A. Walbert. She was born in Allentown a daughter of the late Paul E. and Julia (Ruch) Wotring. Christine was a secretary for the El Tacado and Canine Grooming Shops for many years before retiring in 2006. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Christine was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post # 576.
Survivors: Sons: Daryl P. Walbert of Lehighton, Dane C. Walbert; Daughters: Diane J. wife of Chris Carr of Bath and Donna A. wife of James Albert of Walnutport; Brother: Robert husband of Helen Wotring of Whitehall; Sisters: Leah Wagner of FL, Celia Vargos of Bethlehem, Blanche wife of Walter Kropf of Allentown, and Gail wife of Tony Minor of Macungie; Eight Grandchildren, Six Step-Grandchildren and Four Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Brother Carl Wotring and Sister Marianne Talotta.
Services: 10:30 A.M. Thursday in the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 1335-37 Linden St., Allentown. Call 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
