Will try to get this connection. (Doc F 10) Obituary from file at Albion Public Library: March 1943 AGED WAWAKA RESIDENT DIED AT KENDALLVILLE Charles U. Faulkner, 77, of Wawaka, died Thursdy evening, 8 o'clock at McCray Hospital of apoplexy with which he was stricken the prvious Friday night. Taken to the hospital soon after suffeirng the spoplectic stroke, his conditon had been critical, since that time. Born December 4, 1865, near Ft Wayne he was the son of Elijah and Hattie Faulkner. He had resided the greater part of the last 37 years at Wawaka having moved their from the Bourbon and Bremen communitieswhere the family resided a number of years. He was united in marriage in 1895 with Ida Mae King of Marshall County and to this union 11 children were born, eight of whom survive. Surviving besides the widow are four sons and four daughters includig Mrs. Floyd Maxson and Lester Faulkner of Kendallville, Mrs Bertha Manges, South Bend; Mrs Eula Wiles, Teegarden; Mrs. Dortha Squier, and Clarence Faulkner, Corunna; Mrs Orville Wood, Ft Wayne; Glenn Faulkner, Waterloo; three brothers and three sisters, Elzie Faulkner, South Bend; Clem Faulkner and Mrs. Emma Haines, Bourbon; Mrs. Carrie Naylor, Nappanee, Cyrus Faulkner, Brimfield; Mrs Nettie Enterline, Chicago. Thirty-nine grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren also survive. The funeral was held Sunday with a short service at 11:30 a.m. at a Kendallville funeral homeand at 2 o'clock at the Sandredge Methodist Church, south of Nappanee. The Rev. Mr. Howe officiated and burial was in the Sandridge (cemetery?)
