  7. According to his brother Robert James Bruce's obituary in 1872, Charles was living at 36 Walnut St, which has been found in 1871 & 1872 Cleveland City directories. This was also the residence of their mother Mary T Bruce (1881-1888 Cleveland City directories), who was listed as the widow of "Alex" & "Alexander" in the 1886 & 1888 Cleveland City directories respectively.
