Oral Traditions

Pomp and Cel raised their grandchild Billy, after his parents Frank Pryor and Helen separated. Cel graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Omaha, NE. She was a painter. A picture of roses she painted hung over the piano.

Attended Conservatory of Music in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a socialite, a musician and a painter. Her paintings included a picture of Christ carrying the Cross, and they were hung in her house. Linda Hurst remembers one over the piano.

Cel fell off a streetcar, which aggravated her retinitis pigmetosa. She was blind in her later years.


Obituary

CECILIA MCANDREW – MOTHER (12/2/1872-2/2/63) was raised in Pleasant Mount, PA. Her mother was Bridget Egan who later died in childbirth with twins. She attended the Conservatory of Music in Omaha, NE. She married John J. McAndrew and they had three children. Later in life she raised her daughter (Helen’s) child, Bill.
