Facts and Events
Caroline Mary Savage was baptised on 14th June 1863 at Southampton, daughter of Mary Ann Savage, formerly Snelling, and her husband Walter William Snelling, a last maker. Caroline was their first child. Sometime between 1868 and 1870 the family left Southampton and moved to Saint Helier on the island of Jersey. They did not stay there for very long, and by 1871 they were living in Norwich, where the census finds them living on Ber Street.
By 1873 they had moved again, this time to Colchester in Essex. Sadly Caroline died there aged 9, being buried at St Botolph's Church in Colchester on 13th February 1873.
