"Mrs. Beth Hoffman "Clinton,Md.- Beth Hoffman, 71,died April 22, 1987, in Southern Maryland Hospital Center after an extended illness. "She was born on March 17, 1916, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Whitmore. She graduated from Port Huron High School, Port Huron Junion College, and subsequently attended Columbia University in New York. "She traveled extensively during her lifetime. While serving with the American Red Cross, she was stationed in many of the European countries and then in Japan and Korea. She was later employed by the government as club director of the Special Service Club at the Andrews Air Force Base outside of Washington, D.C., remaining there until her retirement. She continued to reside in Forrestville, Md., and burial services for her were held there. "She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Mary Whitmore of Port Orange, Fla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Tom Bauslaugh of Port Huron; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
