MONONA, Iowa - Bernard "Barney" Whittle, 96, of Monona, died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at the Good Samaritan Center, Postville.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Monona, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona.

Surviving are two daughters, Rose Binns, of Council Bluffs, and Darlyn Griffith, of Des Moines; a son, Adelbert "Butch" Whittle, of Monona; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Whittle, of Monona; and eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
