Person:Beatrice Cundall (1)

Born in West Yorkshire, Beatrice was the daughter of a gamekeeper at St Ives Estate near Bingley and grew up on the estate. After the death of her father the family had to leave the estate and look for opportunities to earn a living of their own. Beatrice emigrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1929 on the RMS Osterley and met her husband Eric Haydon. THey lived at 12 Belgrave Rd, Malvern East, in Melbourne, where they raised two children, Lynette and Geoffrey. Beatrice died on the 15th of March, 1997 at the age of 91. She was buried in the Kilcunda cemetery in Victoria.
